Guernsey Firm, AO Hall Wins IP Award

AO Hall has received a coveted award, the Offshore Firm of the Year for Intellectual Property, from an international finance magazine.

InterContinental Finance Magazine named the law firm in its Global Awards 2010 which recognise companies who have performed to exceptional levels during one of the most difficult economic periods ever experienced. More than 9,000 voting forms sent out by the magazine were returned. AO Hall, which has also recently been short-listed as Best Medium Business in the Guernsey Awards for Achievement, is the only Guernsey law firm to have been named as a winner, also beating off competition from other offshore jurisdictions.

“This award is absolutely fantastic, especially because it was completely unexpected. AO Hall set up a dedicated Intellectual Property practice three years ago, so this independent award is amazing recognition for the team’s hard work over this short period,” said AO Hall Partner Elaine Gray.

“Intellectual property is an important and growing business area for Guernsey and this award represents positive recognition of the skills and expertise available in the island.”

The awards are presented globally to companies who have been picked by InterContinental Finance Magazine readers for demonstrating a high degree of ability.
