Guernsey reactions to the UK Treasury's attack on 'designer' tax regimes varied from those who saw the announcement as a purely political gambit by the Chancellor, through cool professionals who said that the move was neither an attack on Guernsey nor politically-motivated, to those actual (non)taxpayers who might suffer, who were predictably dismayed. Only 219 Guernsey companies in total are incorporated as International Bodies ('designer' tax companies) and the impact of any changes will be minimal (as long as it isn't 219 Microsofts, that is).
