Grenada has significantly improved its international credit-worthiness over the past twelve months, according to the latest credit ratings complied by Institutional Investor magazine.
For the period between March 2003 and March 2004, the report shows that Grenada’s credit-worthiness increased by a score of 8.5 placing it fourth in a table of 172 countries surveyed by the magazine. From September 2003 to March 2004, this score rises to 8.9 points, elevating the jurisdiction to second in the table.
Overall, Grenada is ranked 67th (up from 81st) with a rating of 42.8. A score of 100 represents the most solid credit rating. It now means that the jurisdiction has surpassed others in the region such as Brazil, Belize, Peru and Colombia.
