The Government of Grenada is expected to unveil its 2005 budget in the latter half of March after consultations with the public, it emerged last week.
The central focus of Finance Minister Anthony Boatswain’s budget will be the continued reconstruction effort in the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan, which devastated the island in September of last year.
High priority is likely to be given to housing, agriculture, business reactivation and training.
The budget presentation will be preceded by consultations with civil society, according to a government news release.
