Grant Thornton UK LLP has this week unveiled its new brand identity.

Grant Thornton member firms in over 80 countries are adopting the new global brand identity and logo, in order to be instantly recognisable as part of the Grant Thornton International organisation.

Michael Cleary, the CEO of Grant Thornton UK LLP explained that:

"Our clients receive a distinctive, personalised service from Grant Thornton here in the UK and rightly expect the same level of quality when they use Grant Thornton firms anywhere in the world."

"The new brand actively demonstrates our membership of a leading global organisation that gives our clients access to the knowledge and experience of over 2,400 partners from member firms worldwide."

"The market is no longer content with firms, however competent within national borders, that are unable to access a strong and cohesive international organisation. Grant Thornton International member and correspondent firms provide this strength in depth in more than 100 countries."

"As the UK member firm, we are committed to ensuring we are a part of a cohesive global organisation with not only the highest technical and professional standards, but with quality people who share the same high values and culture."

He continued: "Our business is increasingly global in nature; not only in relation to our audit work which counts more than 400 SEC registered clients worldwide, but also in respect of our specialist advisory services."

"Our Recovery & Reorganisation practice is regularly involved in complex multi-jurisdictional assignments delivered by over 1,000 recovery professionals worldwide as is our Government and Infrastructure Advisory team, which is the leading financial adviser to PFI/PPP Projects in the UK and Europe."

"To date, our Government and Infrastructure Advisory team has advised on more than 400 projects with a combined capital value of more than GBP39.5 billion. Internationally M&A work is also growing. During 2007, Grant Thornton International member firms also advised on 307 deals to the value of GBP4.2bn."

David McDonnell, Chief Executive Officer for Grant Thornton International, added: "The global accounting profession needs leaders who are prepared to speak out on issues that matter to business and to the wider public. Our new brand is another important step in differentiating Grant Thornton in the marketplace."
