German firm Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven GmbH has signed
a definitive agreement with the Grand Bahama Port Authority Group
to build a new $75m ship care facility in Freeport. Ownership
will be in a 60/40 ratio. Taken together with other existing facilities,
the new project will make the Bahamas probably the leading maritime
centre in the Caribbean.
