Luxembourg's Treasury and Budget Minister, Luc Frieden, on Monday embarked on a five day visit to Asia to promote his country's finance centre.
Speaking to investment professionals at seminars in Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea, Mr Frieden stressed the benefits of Luxembourg, in particular as a location for investment funds.
The Treasury Minister also met with government officials in Japan and South Korea.
M. Frieden has been accompanied on his visit to Asia by representatives from the fund sector, and from the Association Luxembourgeoise des fonds d’investissement (ALFI).
