The Minister of Foreign Affairs in Cyprus, Mr Markos Kyprianou, departed for Beijing on Saturday, 28 June, on an official visit between 29 June and 1 July.
The Cyprus problem and bilateral relations will be the main object for discussion between Mr Kyprianou and the Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China, Mr Yang Jiechi.
The two Ministers will also examine prospects of further developing the already excellent cooperation between the two countries.
They will also discuss international issues of mutual interest, as well as EU-China relations.
Within the framework of his visit, Mr Kyprianou will also have separate meetings with the State Councillor Mr Dai Bingguo and the Vice-Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of the People’s Republic of China Lin Jinjun.
Minister Kyprianou returns to Cyprus on 2 July.
