Enterprise Capital Management Makes European Debut

Caroline Maxwell, Tax-news.com, London

It was announced recently that Enterprise Capital Management, which is based in the US, and currently manages more than $9 billion in assets, including the Enterprise group of funds, is set to make its European debut as an investment services provider.

The new offshore mutual fund equivalents (UCITS) are domiciled in Dublin, are comprised of equity portfolios and a money market fund, and feature three classes of investor shares. This multi-class structure will support distribution through a number of European channels, including institutions, retirement plan sponsors, and individual investors. Victor Ugolyn, president, chairman, and CEO of Enterprise Capital Management, is confident that this new European venture will be a success, saying: We believe our portfolio selection and multi-manager approach will be equally as successful in Europe as it is in the United States. We believe European investors are ready for access to world-class institutional talent.'

Enterprise, who were among the first to offer retail investors the sort of professional money management once reserved only for the largest institutional investors, have teamed up with BISYS, a third party administrator of domestic and offshore mutual funds. Enterprise will manage the strategic direction of the funds, and BISYS will take on the roles of fund administrator, accountant, and transfer agent for the recently registered offshore fund complex.
