The Pravda online news service has reported that Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Tajikistan will meet soon to draw up a draft document detailing plans to establish a united data bank listing information on known violations of tax and financial laws that take place in their territories.
The initiative was decided upon in Moscow
last week at a founding session of the Commission of the Coordinating
Council of chiefs of tax/financial/investigative organs of members
of the Commonwealth of Independent States on exchange of information resources.
The aim of the Commission is to improve upon the efficiency of mutual
exchange of information on matters relating to economic crimes committed
by corporations and individuals.
