Global One, a France Telecom-owned company offering IP, data and voice telecommunication services worldwide and providing e-business solutions, has just opened its third hosting centre in the Asia Pacific region, adding Hong Kong to its existing operations in Singapore and Tokyo.
The Hong Kong Global Hosting Centre, says Global One, is in fact an extension of already existing facilities within Global One's Hong Kong Data Node, and it will offer multinational corporations managed hosting solutions to help them "migrate effectively into the e-business world."
With Global One Hosting services, customers gain a secure connection to the Internet via Global Security, which allows corporations to open their information system securely to the Internet. Also offered is a corporate Intranet, co-location inside the company Intranet or on the Internet, Web hosting (Global Web Hosting offers the means for doing business via the Internet), messaging, groupware, and deployment of a completely managed extranet.
Commenting on the expansion into Hong Kong, Gopi Gopinath, Senior Vice-President for the Asia-Pacific region, said: 'Global One has given top priority to the Asia-Pacific region in the roll-out of its Global Hosting Center program.With the opening of our third Global Hosting Center in the region, we are well-positioned to meet the fast-growing demand for outsourced e-business solutions and applications.'
