Dubai's International Airport Expo Center will be the venue for the World Money Show from 21 to 25 September 2003, alongside annual meetings of Central Bank Governors, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

Organising the event is Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler & the Minister of Finance & Industry in the United Arab Emirates, with the Ministry of Finance & Industry in the UAE. The government says it is supporting this event to assist in raising global awareness of the UAE and Dubai as a regional centre for financial, technological and investment opportunity.

Says the Government: 'This gathering of all bankers and investors will be for the first time in this region utilizing the opportunity of this huge number of participants
to help in developing new business opportunities between the exhibitors, visitors and world community, which lead to future cooperation and mutual benefit for the United Arab Emirates and the countries participating in the World Money Show.'

The total area of the show will be 23,000 square meters, divided into country pavilions for the member states of the World Bank and IMF. In each pavilion each country will have booths for the ministry of finance, central/Reserve bank, chamber of commerce & industry, public and government backed investment companies, banks, stock markets, securities houses, insurance companies and real estate firms. There will be a bank-note and coin museum for each country.

'This will assist businesses in the world to capitalize on the event in a manner which reflects positively on the development of UAE and the participating countries,' says the Government, 'and attract greater foreign investment into the UAE and Dubai by demonstrating the investment opportunities, incentives and services provided to foreign investors. Mr. Ahmad M. Bani Huthail, Chief Executive Officer of the Organizing committee of the Show, calls for international participation in this important event and welcomes exhibitors and sponsors from all over the world.'
