Mr. Abdulrahman Ghanem Al Mutaiwee, Director General of Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) recently received a high profile delegation from Hong Kong ahead of a major trade exhibition in the city later this year, AME Info reported.
The delegation, headed by Mr. Michael Kong, Project Manager, Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) used the opportunity to discuss issues of mutual interest to the business communities of Hong Kong and Dubai.
During the visit, Mr Kong detailed the upcoming Hong Kong Expo to be held in Dubai from 12 December to 16 December.
“This event will be the first and largest Hong Kong solo exhibition organized by HKTDC in the Middle East ever”, Mr. Kong explained.
The Hong Kong Expo will be used as a showcase for branded Hong Kong products carried by commercial delegates from the territory. HKTDC is currently launching a high profile marketing campaign targeting buyers from around the region.
The event will be held to coincide with International Autumn Trade Fair (IATF), one of the largest multiple trade fairs in the Middle East.
More than 250 Hong Kong firms are due to participate in the Expo.
