Dubai Maritime City Authority confirmed late last month that it is to be the sole sponsor for Explorer Publishing's Dubai Boating Guide.

The guide has been produced in the light of predictions that Dubai boat registrations are set to rise significantly in the next five years.

Commenting on the announcement, Faisal Al Jassim, Dubai Maritime City's Assistant Manager remarked:

"We are delighted to be supporting Explorer Publishing's Dubai Boating Guide to increase awareness and educate those with an interest in all things maritime. Dubai Maritime City will play a key role in the regional and international maritime industry and for us, providing in-depth information that is user-friendly and useful for everyone is essential."

Alistair Mackenzie, Publisher, Explorer Publishing added:

"The unity between Explorer Publishing and Dubai Maritime City is a great reflection of what we are trying to achieve; we are meeting the demands of the rapid development of the boating industry in Dubai."

Dubai Boating provides in-depth information on all aspects of boating and sailing in Dubai. It covers everything from buying a boat to finding a marina to moor it, plus all the regulations and paperwork involved. The book also features a comprehensive section on where to sail, marinas, future developments, maintenance, yacht clubs plus boating-related activities, maps, and a directory.

Dubai Maritime City incorporates a full range of industrial, commercial, residential and leisure facilities distributed in six distinct districts: Harbour Offices, Harbour Residences, Maritime Centre, Dubai Maritime City Campus, Marina District, and the Industrial Precinct managed by Drydocks World, Dubai. Upon completion, the city will feature over 1,000 berths for boats and yachts located in its Harbour Marina and Maritime Centre Marina areas.
