Deloitte, the business advisory firm, announced on Monday that its hedge fund practice has doubled in the past year.
According to Stuart Opp, UK Hedge Fund Leader and partner at Deloitte, the company's hedge fund team has seen 100% growth in practice revenues in 2007, and it plans to double the service's revenues and headcount by 2009.
"We continue to build our practice by responding to market demand and ensuring we offer the best service to our clients across a wide range of specializations within the sector," Opp stated.
“While a portion of our growth is due to industry expansion, our quality of service and specialist industry knowledge have lead to meaningful market share gains. Our UK based team is exceptionally talented and ready to meet further growth in this sector," he added.
Stuart McLaren, Hedge Fund Regulatory Leader at Deloitte, noted: “The increasing complexity of the regulatory and risk environment driven by the FSA and market forces has been a strong driver to our industry leading services in the hedge fund sector.”
