SpiderNet Services Ltd, a Cyprus Internet Service Provider (ISP), has developed Spidertrade (http://www.spidertrade.com.cy), an interactive online service providing the latest financial news, real-time quotes from the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) and on-line trading services. At the same time SpiderNet offers free to its subscribers the SpiderWAP service, marking a new era in stock trading in Cyprus according to the company.

Spidertrade is a comprehensive website for investors, providing news and announcements related to the Cyprus Stock Exchange as well as the current trading day's CSE index and the indices by sector. Stock quotes are displayed in real-time and there is the facility to search for the latest quotes of a specific company and view history charts to track their stock performance. In addition there are profiles and prospectuses of CSE companies.

The key element is the website's trading capability, providing easy access for individual investors to execute orders to buy and sell stocks. Investments may be followed up with a Trading Portfolio and Account Summary.

The SpiderWAP innovation enables Spidertrade clients to connect to the trading floor and obtain real-time stock quotes during CSE sessions. This service offers not only trading, but also provides access to the investors’ trading portfolio, their orders’ status and movement of accounts. It is a full-blown trading system available through the WAP enabled mobile phone. This means that stock trading through SpiderWAP technology is now offered not only to the 40,000 Internet subscribers in Cyprus, but also to the 185,000 mobile phone users. SpiderWAP also provides a range of information including financial data from Cyprus and abroad, local and international news and even sports and cultural events.
