American aviation information specialist, Conklin and de Decker, has announced that it is set to release the '2009 State Tax Guide for General Aviation' later this month.
The newest version of the guide will cover the latest taxes and fees imposed on general aviation in all fifty US states, and contains sales and use taxes applicable to aircraft sales, ownership, leases, parts, and labour.
The guide is often used as a reference tool by aircraft operators, accountants, dealers, brokers and aviation law professionals.
This particular version, however, will also include information on how the states tax the airlines and aircraft held in inventory.
Information on common exemptions from the state sales and/or use taxes as well as common carrier, occasional sales, fly-away and trade-in credits are to be included, along with the relevant figures on registration fees, personal property taxes, jet fuel and aviation gasoline.
Additionally, users will be able to compare the tax rates and exemptions for up to three states at a time.
Upon its release, the State Tax Guide will also be particularly useful for those wishing to keep abreast of the rapid changes to tax laws in different states across the country.
