The second issue of the CogentSurvey top-line results recently released by CogentHedge.com will have been welcomed by Bank of Bermuda, which came top in two categories.
The CogentSurvey aims to provide a detailed picture of the size and composition of the hedge fund industry, looking at issues such as the number of hedge funds currently in existence, the amount of money managed by the industry on a global scale, the distribution of assets throughout the industry, the favoured jurisdictions for hedge funds, and service providers to the industry.
In a statement to accompany the updated results, CogentHedge announced that:
'There have been some minor shifts in placement in the league tables as additional funds report their results to us. We are still only showing rank by mention among the survey respondents. Therefore please note that these rankings are not asset-based.'
According to the results of the survey thus far, Bank of Bermuda topped the list of fund administrators, Seward & Kissel the list of counsel, and Maples and Calder the offshore counsel list. PriceWaterhouseCoopers was ranked first amongst auditors, Goldman Sachs amongst prime brokers, and Bank of Bermuda amongst custodians/trustees.
