China is getting set to sign a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
It is expected that the trade pact will be concluded when Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao visits Thailand for the twelth China-ASEAN Summit between 10-12 April.
The parties are thought to have agreed to full FTA implementation by 2010.
Originally formed in 1967, the ASEAN is comprised of ten countries: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
