China's Commerce Ministry has announced that it is to impose immediate provisional 25% anti-dumping duties on certain flat-rolled electrical steel products from the US and Russia, used in the power transformer industry.

China itself has been the target of anti-dumping measures in the last twelve months. According to the Commerce Ministry's statistics quoted in the China Daily, by the end of October, 19 nations and regions, especially the US and Europe, had initiated investigations on 101 Chinese export items, involving a sales volume of USD11.68bn.
