The 14th Cayman Captive Forum, jointly organised by the jurisdiction’s government and Chambers of Commerce, is currently underway and is expected to be the biggest event to date, helping to raise the international profile of the Caribbean jurisdiction’s captive insurance market.
The event is expected to attract an attendance of around 400 people, and could potentially generate “a huge amount of revenue" for the country, according to Seamus Tivnan, Marketing Chairmanof the Cayman Islands Managers Association.
Meanwhile, conference organiser Michael W Gibbs observed: “Captive Insurance is a very dynamic industry and The Cayman Islands is the second largest market in the world. Attendees will be able to find out about opportunities for captive formation and growth from industry experts."
