Cayman Islands Offer Small Businesses Assistance In Ivan’s Aftermath

by Amanda Banks, Tax-News.com, London

20 October 2004

As part of its mandate to stimulate and strengthen local investment, the Cayman Islands Investment Bureau (CIIB) has initiated a small business assistance programme to address some of the issues that now affect small businesses as a consequence of Hurricane Ivan.

The programme offers free one-on-one confidential business consulting by trained professional staff and experienced volunteer business analysts.

In addition, free business training seminars will be offered to address the needs of small business owners. This seminar series will begin with a basic introduction to business planning to be held at the CIDB offices on Monday 25th October.

An information desk will also be set up at the CIDB offices to administer counselling and training programmes. This desk will also act as a contact point for small business owners searching for information relevant to their businesses.
