Cayman Islands Appoint New UK Representative

The Cayman Islands have appointed Mrs Jennifer Dilbert as their Government Representative to the UK, following the retirement of Mr Thomas Russell CMG CBE who has been in the position since 1982.

Mrs Dilbert will take up her post on 1st August 2000 and will be the first Caymanian to hold the position. She is a former Executive Director of Deutsche Bank (Cayman) Ltd and a past Inspector of Financial Services in the Cayman Islands.

Mrs Dilbert said: "I am very excited to be taking up this position and I know I will enjoy promoting the Cayman Islands. Both in the private and public sector I gained a great deal of experience of dealing with many of the issues that affect and influence the Cayman Islands' position in the global market place".
