The Cayman Islands Investment Bureau (CIIB) has launched a new service to assist local businesses in finding alternative sources of financing and assistance for their business ventures.

The Business Opportunity Listing Service will facilitate meetings between local businesses and potential financiers interested in pursuing investment opportunities in the Cayman Islands.

"The Business Opportunity Listing Service provides a free public forum where we can register local businesses looking to expand their operations with the assistance of external investors" commented Executive Director for the Investment Bureau, Dax Basdeo.

"Potential investors will then have easy access to this list of local business opportunities," he noted.

The Leader of Government Business, the Honourable McKeeva Bush has also welcomed the new initiative, which he hoped would see an increase in interest from foreign investors.

"It provides an excellent mechanism for Caymanian businesses to benefit from the investment interest of both local and foreign investors," he said.

"Caymanian entrepreneurs will have another avenue to raise capital, or even obtain advice from seasoned investors, both avenues can assist in the realization and expansion of their businesses," Mr Bush observed.
