Gibraltar's Chief Minister, Peter Caruana has accepted an invitation from Malta’s Minister of Foreign Affairs to address the plenary session of the Commonwealth Business Forum which begins today in conjunction with the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
The Commonwealth Business Forum, organised by the Commonwealth Business Council and the Government of Malta, will focus on new opportunities for investment partnerships across Europe and the Mediterranean. About 500 government and business leaders from throughout the Commonwealth will attend the forum, which has as its theme ‘The Commonwealth, Europe and the Mediterranean – window on Business Opportunities.’
The Chief Minister will deliver a speech to the plenary on the subject of: “Commonwealth, Europe and the Mediterranean Countries – what are the comparative advantages.”
Mr Caruana is also due to discuss issues relating to financial services with officials from the UK government on his way back from the Maltese conference.
