Carey Olsen, the Channel Islands' largest law firm, has this week been ranked market leader in Guernsey-domiciled funds for the fourth consecutive year.
The law firm’s dominance in the local fund sector has once again been recognised by the annual Lipper Fund Encyclopaedia, where it tops the ratings by market share in the “Guernsey legal adviser” category.
Carey Olsen ranked higher than six other local law firms with its 53.33% market share of funds domiciled and serviced in Guernsey.
"It’s not always easy to maintain a leading position, particularly in our local funds market where so many firms compete to provide legal advice," commented Graham Hall, partner and head of Carey Olsen’s corporate team in Guernsey, who went on to say:
"However, each year we have managed to steadily increase our market share percentage and, according to this year’s report, we are still the undisputed leader in Guernsey by a significant margin.
"The results are reflection of the commitment of our funds team who have shown their ability to meet critical deadlines and work across international time zones, time and time again," he added.
The announcement follows recognition from Legal 500 who rated Carey Olsen as their “law firm of choice” in Guernsey.
Earlier this month, lawyers at the firm welcomed praise afforded them in the latest edition of the Legal 500, which provides worldwide coverage on legal services providers from over 100 countries.
The Guernsey arm of the firm appeared in the top tier in several practice areas –- commercial and banking, commercial property, dispute resolution, investment funds, private client, trust and tax, and insurance.
