The Channel Islands Stock Exchange (CISX) has welcomed the recent endorsement by the UK's Inland Revenue of its status as a recognised stock exchange meeting strict standards of practice and regulation.
Speaking late last week, Chairman of the Guernsey-based CISX, Harry Taylor observed that:
'This designation by the UK Inland Revenue is a significant milestone for the exchange. It enhances the CISX's overall competitive position and lays a strong foundation for our future growth.'
Mr Taylor went on to add:
'It is also a further endorsement of Guernsey's reputation as a significant international finance centre which operates within a regulatory structure of internationally accepted modern standards.'
