It was announced this week that the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) has appointed its former General Manager, Cindy Scotland to fill the position of Managing Director of the authority, following the previous incumbent's return to London.
In a statement released this week, CIMA revealed that Jennifer Dilbert, who assumed the role nearly eight months ago following the resignation of John Bourbon on personal grounds, has now returned to her former position as the Cayman Islands' Government representative in London.
Mrs Scotland is also an interim appointment, according to the the Cayman Islands Government Information Service. However, having held the positions of General Manager of CIMA since 1997, and Head of the Currency Board between 1993 and 1996, there are no doubts that she is eminently qualified to fill the position until a suitable permanent candidate for the post can be found.
