The Bermuda International Business Association has announced that respected fiscal policy analyst Veronique de Rugy, of the free market think-tank The CATO Institute is to take part in BIBA’s Annual General Meeting Lunch on December 10.
Ms de Rugy’s research interests include tax competition, financial privacy and fiscal sovereignty issues, and in 1996 she co-wrote ‘Action ou Taxation’. She also sits on the board of directors at the Center for Freedom and Prosperity.
“We’re very pleased Ms. De Rugy has agreed to speak at our AGM Luncheon”, announced Deborah Middleton, CEO of BIBA. “She is an acknowledged expert on tax competition – an issue of direct relevance to Bermuda - and a topic which we feel will be of interest to our members and guests. We are anticipating a thought-provoking address from her.”
