After a hiatus of several months, UK MP for West Suffolk, Richard Spring has called upon Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary, Jack Straw to outline the current state of affairs with regard to the Anglo-Spanish negotiations over Gibraltar.
According to the Iberia News service, Mr Spring also called upon Prime Minister, Tony Blair to furnish the House with details of his talks with Spanish Prime Minister, Jose Matia Aznar, which were held on January 30.
Although there has been unofficial contact between the two sides, no concrete progress has been made in the Anglo-Spanish talks since Spain made it clear that it would continue to push for eventual full sovereignty of the Rock last year.
