Speaking this week, the head of the Brazil-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce revealed that Brazilian businesses hope to increase cooperation with their Vietnamese counterparts over the coming years.
According to a report from the state-owned Vietnam News Agency on Tuesday, Ruy Berreto Filloh told Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Thac Dinh that several Brazilian firms have expressed an interest in sending representatives to Vietnam alongside the Brazilian President, when he visits later this year.
The Vietnamese Ambassador was in Brazil from April 1st to 3rd.
According to official estimates, bilateral trade is anticipated to climb to USD500mn in 2008, up from USD312mn in 2007.
The BVCC President suggested, according to the VNA, that trade is likely to further increase, to USD750mn in 2009 and USD1bn the following year.
