GSCS Benchmarks has given Bank of Bermuda their ‘Best Exotic Markets Network’ award. The award was announced at GSCS's annual Global Custody Awards for the funds management industry.
The award was given based on an independent survey of key custodians and is given to the best performer each year in 'exotic markets' - pre-emerging markets that lack robust legal, fiscal and regulatory infrastructures. The Bank of Bermuda has been a pioneering force in providing custody services.
On hand to collect the award was Daraius Nawroze, head of Global Network Management at the Bank of Bermuda. ‘We are delighted to have won the award. This is an important niche area of our business and we are committed to staying ahead of the field. Our expertise lies in providing a superior level of support to clients operating in new and complex markets which often feature unlisted or unusual investments," he said.
Bank of Bermuda provides custody services to the offshore fund industry through its operations in both Bermuda and the Isle of Man. The Bank provides a range of global fund services including cash management and treasury, fund accounting & reporting, global custody and shareholder services, and puts its success down to its ability to forge close partnerships with investment managers in exotic markets.
