Barclays Premier Banking has launched a multi-currency telephone and online banking service that enables its wealthy clients based in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man to manage their money in differing currencies and time zones at any time of day or night.
Entitled a 'relationship management service,' the aim of Barclays' latest initiative is to protect clients' assets and enable them to grow by using the latest available technology. The bank says security is not an issue with its system of a unique secure membership number and passcode for each client, allowing access to the International Telephone and Online Banking service.
Catherine McDowell, director of Barclays Premier Banking, said: 'Together with a selection of lifestyle benefits including a property management service, emergency assistance services, worldwide hotel discounts and guides to countries around the world, this will be a market leading service. Relationship managers combine their knowledge of the lifestyle and financial priorities of their clients with the resources of Barclays to offer a truly personalised service.'
Barclays Premier Banking is a relationship and investment product service designed to help clients with £100,000 or more to place in the care of Barclays, and specialises in helping clients to organise their finances outside of their country of origin or residence.
Catherine McDowell said: 'Clients are now a telephone call or click away from a world of banking services. Improved access to relationship managers gives peace of mind, takes the hassle out of managing financial affairs and helps clients make the most of their assets.'
