Bank of Valletta has launched a new and innovative service that gives customers the facility to carry out transactions in Valletta Fund Management (VFM) Funds over the BOV Internet Banking platform.

The new service, the first of its kind to be offered by a Maltese bank, gives customers the opportunity to buy and sell shares in VFM funds, switch from one fund to another, as well as set up personalised savings plans.

“This is a highly comprehensive, totally secure and straightforward and efficient service which will enable customers of the BOV Group to view their transaction history, monitor the daily prices of funds and obtain, at the click of a button, a valuation of their portfolio,” explained Kenneth Farrugia, General Manager of Valletta Fund Management.

He continued:

“Today, Valletta Fund Management has an unequivocal position in the Fund Management business in Malta. Managing and administering 41 funds made up of both proprietary business and third party mandates, Valletta Fund Management today has over US$1 billion funds under management and administration.

“The interdependencies that we can leverage through VFM being part of the BOV Group are now resulting in improved support to our customers, who are for the first time able to execute their investment decisions directly over the BOV Internet Banking platform."

Farrugia concluded that:

"More and more customers are seeking new ways of investing their funds. Giving them direct access to VFM funds through the BOV 24x7 Services offers more flexibility and gives customers the opportunity to better manage their portfolio.”
