Baker Tilly Creates Auditing Arm In Guernsey

Baker Tilly Channel Islands Limited - the Channel Islands division of accountancy and business advisory firm Baker Tilly - has formed Baker Tilly CI Audit Limited, a Guernsey-registered audit and assurance company, enabling the firm to provide auditing services in Guernsey.

Recent changes in Guernsey legislation mean that to continue to audit Guernsey-regulated entities, an auditor must have a local presence in the island.

The Channel Islands group is able to provide assurance and general advisory, tax compliance and advisory, accounting and trust company services to any Channel Islands-based entity, as well as being recognised auditors.

“This is a natural progression for our firm and one which demonstrates our commitment to growing all facets of our business within the Channel Islands. It will also give us the opportunity to actively market our services in Guernsey as we continue to develop our teams, something which we haven’t previously been able to do,” said David Hopkins, Managing Director of Baker Tilly Channel Islands group.

This new Guernsey office adds to the range of accountancy and advisory firms on Guernsey, which comprises a range of leading providers including the ‘big four’.
