BVI To Expand World-Wide Marketing Program

The BVI's International Finance Centre has announced an enhanced programme of marketing activity in the upcoming months, including a series of roadshows in Hong Kong and Shanghai in November.

In addition, the IFC will be a major sponsor and speaker at the inaugural STEP Asia Pacific Conference “Trusts in Asia Pacific”, taking place in Singapore on October 26 & 27 2005.

In September, the IFC was a sponsor of the 12th Annual MAR- Hedge Fund World Summit, Bermuda. The BVI currently has in excess of two thousand active recognised or registered funds and is anticipating further growth over the coming year.

The BVI continues to experience steady annual growth in its Captive Insurance industry, now the fifth largest in the world. In recognition of this, the IFC will be one of the lead sponsors of RIMS 2006 in Hawaii, the world’s largest conference for the insurance and risk management industry.
