The British Marine Federation announced recently that there are four places available on its International Development Committee, and that it is currently seeking applications to fill those positions.
The Group's role is to provide a strategic overview of the overall international development requirements of the BMF/industry and to provide advice on implementation to the Director of International Development and the International Team.
According to the BMF, the International Department's function is:
"To promote British marine excellence and increase companies' performance and presence in overseas markets, whilst encouraging new exporters to exploit international opportunities."
It went on to add:
"We are looking for an individual within a member company to give up four days a year of their time voluntarily to join the meetings (Southampton Boat Show/ London Boat Show/April/July), the individual must have a passion for international business and for growing the UK marine industry."
Applications must be received by September 15, 2006.
