It emerged this week that British Airways does not plan to sue the UK government for compensation following the introduction of increased security measures in the UK's airports.
Budget airline, Ryanair has reportedly been attempting to drum up support amongst the airline industry for a lawsuit against the UK authorities over the chaos which followed the recent discovery of terrorist plots involving transatlantic flights.
However, speaking to Reuters this week, a BA spokeswoman revealed that:
"No consideration has been given or is being given to suing the government."
Virgin Atlantic is also understood to be against the proposed legal action.
