Ronald Sanders, Antigua's High Commissioner to the UK, has called for the UK to lift its 'official warning', and for the US to lift its 'advisory' against the use of Antigua's offshore banks, which were imposed a year ago.
As reported in Tax-news.com on 17th April (See related article) Antigua was the first country to sign a commitment letter with the UN following the UNDCP (United Nations Drug Control Program) forum in the Cayman Islands in March.
Mr Sanders said that Antigua was in the process of providing information to the British Government about its regulatory and supervisory regime, and understood that the UK was preparing to lift its warning within the next three months.
