Antigua and Barbuda's new High Court of Justice was opened yesterday amid much ceremony, according to a report from Caribbean Net News.
The regional news service revealed that Prime Minister Lester Bird officially declared the court open, and proceeded to deliver a speech 'drawing attention to the evolution of the delivery of justice in Antigua and Barbuda (and) highlighting the modern technological capabilities of the new Court House'.
Other speakers addressing the opening ceremony included Sir Dennis Byron, Chief Justice of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, and Mr Clare Roberts, President of the Antigua and Barbuda Bar Association.
