Andorra’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Institutional Relations Xavier Espot and Foreign Minister of San Marino Antonella Mularoni signed an agreement for the exchange of information on tax matters on September 21.
The signing was preceded by a working meeting between the two delegations on issues of bilateral interest. In particular, the delegations discussed the future relations of Andorra and San Marino with the European Union under the European Economic Area, as well as the changing economic landscape and the implications of tax information exchange.
The agreement with San Marino is Andorra’s fourth tax information exchange agreement in five days. The first was with Austria on September 17, and a further two with Monaco and Liechtenstein on September 18. Andorra anticipates that it will sign an agreement with French Budget Minister Eric Woerth on tax information exchange by September 25.
