During an official visit to the Algeria by a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Ministers for Foreign Affairs, Mourad Medelci and Sven Alkalaj, signed an Agreement on the Avoidance of Double Taxation as well as a Memorandum of Cooperation between the two Foreign Affairs Ministries.
The agreements are the first bilateral agreements ever concluded between BiH and Algeria, representing a starting point for the legal regulation of relations between the two countries. When the agreement for the avoidance of double taxation is ratified, upon exchange of formal notes, it will remove double taxation on trade and investments as well as encouraging mutually beneficial economic partnerships.
