The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has announced this week that it will be conducting an Agents Services Survey.
It explained that: "The Tax Office recognises the importance of the role of tax agents in the administration of the tax system, and as such thay are committed to providing quality services to promote and assist a capable tax profession."
"Providing quality services requires tax agent input in order to determine how effective their delivery is."
And continued: "Over the past six years the ATO have invited tax agents Australia-wide to provide their feedback through various research surveys."
"Many services have been improved or developed as a result of this feedback."
The Tax agent services survey 2008 seeks to gain an understanding of tax agent usage of various services and opinion as to how effective they are.
The survey will be mailed to 1,600 randomly selected tax agents, the ATO revealed.
