Suggesting that the economic cycle has recovered from its lowest point, SECO revealed that GDP had increased by 0.3% in Q2, explaining that: "The expansion in the second quarter was broadly based and was supported both by domestic and foreign demand." SECO went on to reveal that exports grew by 5.8% in the second quarter. It stated that "further consolidation" was expected, but warned that it was not anticipating "a strong acceleration of the Swiss economy". .
