Sark Ready To Leap Into 21st Century
In response to pressure from Britain and Europe the islanders of Sark agree that changes are necessary in their feudal laws. The General Purposes and Advisory Committee will create a panel with a mandate to review The Reform (Sark) Law 1951 and to make proposals to Chief Pleas as to how it should be amended. The panel may also include non-Chief Pleas members. The committee also wants to introduce a divorce law and will seek approval from Chief Pleas to commence drafting legislation. .
