PricewaterhouseCoopers announced on Wednesday that it has appointed Wendy Dorman
as Head of its Channel Islands tax practice.
Based in Jersey, where she has worked for the past six years, Ms Dorman will
lead the firm’s tax teams in both Jersey and Guernsey, working closely
with her local and international colleagues to ensure that the firm is fully
prepared for the imminent challenges of GST and the new zero-ten regime, the
accounting firm explained.
She will also focus on providing a full range of tax advisory services to the
investment fund industry in the Channel Islands.
The new Channel Islands tax chief was previously Associate Partner at Deloitte.
With experience in all aspects of the offshore tax environment, she specialises
in offshore alternative investment fund structuring.
Ms Dorman also has extensive experience in the provision of tax advisory services
to Channel Island based businesses, and has advised family offices and high
net worth clients in Jersey, PwC revealed.
Steve Le Page, Senior Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers Channel Islands, announced
that:
"I am delighted to welcome Wendy Dorman as our new Channel Islands tax
practice leader. Her admission to the practice recognizes the significant contributions
she will undoubtedly make to PwC and its clients."
"The coming years are likely to be volatile times in the finance industry
as the Islands adapt to remain jurisdictions rich with opportunity. Wendy’s
valuable expertise blend well with our strong and diverse practice, as we continue
to evolve our tax services in a rapidly changing business climate."
Commenting on her new role at PwC, Wendy added that:
“PwC has succeeded in building a strong tax team in Guernsey and Jersey,
which provides an excellent platform for future growth."
"It is an incredibly exciting time to be joining the firm and I look forward
to working closely with the team to continue to help inform and shape the tax
framework in both islands, deliver a first rate programme of tax advisory services
and maintain our position as a leading tax practice."
