PM Of Antigua And Barbuda Visits Bahrain For Official Talks

Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, W. Baldwin Spencer, arrived in Bahrain on Wednesday, to engage the leadership of the Kingdom in three days of official talks on a number of bilateral issues.

The Antiguan leader was scheduled to meet with the Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, and Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander Shaikh Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Discussions were to centre on education development, investment and information technology, it was revealed ahead of the meeting.

The Prime Minister's engagement was also to include a visit to the Bahrain Financial Harbour, the Bahrain National Museum and the Beit Al Qur'an where information is housed on the Islamic cultural institution and the services and activities it offers.

With its highly developed communication and transport facilities, Bahrain is home to many multinational firms. A large share of exports consists of petroleum products made from imported crude oil.

Construction is proceeding on several major industrial projects in the Kingdom.
