Amman, Jordan - December 19, 2000 (PRN): Al-Bawaba's Business Channel (www.albawaba.com/business) has launched a new English-language service that enables investors around the world to readily trade shares on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE).

The new service includes stock quotes, financial snapshots, company profiles, corporate research, charts and other in-depth information on the 160 publicly-traded companies on the Amman Stock Exchange. The information is provided in cooperation with United Financial Investments plc (UFICO), the largest volume trader in the ASE.

'Many ASE shares with high growth potential have been overlooked by Western investors because of a lack of information, " said Naser Al-Amad, CEO of UFICO. "The new service provides institutional and private investors, with all the information they need to make investment decisions."

Recent ASE stock winners include the Jordan Press Foundation which has seen its share price increase by 60 percent and Jordan Steel which has risen by 16 percent.

Al-Bawaba plans to start similar news servicess for other stock markets in the Middle East, including the Cairo and Dubai exchanges in the near future. "We are enabling Western investors to find investment opportunities in the Arab world, through high-quality, up-to-date information not previously available," said Hani Jabsheh, a Director and founding
investor of Al-Bawaba.

The ASE service is part of Al-Bawaba's Business Channel known as the Middle East Business Gateway (MEBG). The channel provides the most comprehensive business news service in the Arab World. MEBG offers up-to-date business
