New Manx Association of Corporate Service Providers
Tax-news.com

16 June 1999

A meeting was due to be held to establish an Association of Corporate Service Providers at the Stakis Hotel. The proposed association would advise the Manx government, members of Tynwald and the relevant regulatory agencies of the particular needs of the industry, which it's estimated employs around 4,000 people in the Island. Two preliminary meetings had been held earlier this year and a steering committee had been formed inclusing Jane Bates of Intertrust (IoM) Limited, David Bester of Trident Trust Company (IoM) Limited, Chris Eaton of International Law Systems Limited, Rodney Margot of City Trust Limited and Ian Plummer of Valmet (IoM) Limited.

New legislation aimed at regulating the activities of CSPs in the Island is currently in the pipeline. It's envisaged that proposed regulations will be put out for consultation in the very near future, and a new Bill could be ready for Royal Assent as early as the Spring of next year
