by Jason Gorringe, Tax-News.com, London

07 May 2008

The Income Tax Division of the Isle of Man's Treasury released last Thursday a further enhancement to its Online Tax Services, which will allow employers to submit employee details.

The Division revealed that using the internet, emplyers can now:

  • View a list of current and previous employees and tax codes for exisiting employees;
  • Submit details of employees commencing or leaving their employment rather than having to use the current paper T20/T21 forms; and
  • Submit changes to an existing employee's details.

The Employer Online Tax Service also allows employers to submit their remittance card, and make payments of ITIP and NI online.

Payments can be made by BACS credit transfer, credit card or debit card.

Employers can also use the online service to check their payment position for current and previous years, and to view their T37 annual return form history.

This enhanced service will save employers that use it time and money, and reduce paperwork and administrative burdens.
